The common responsibilities for this position include conducting R&D in 5G/6G radio access network software and intelligent application software for commercialization and market performance demonstration. The role involves designing and developing 5G/6G mobile intelligent systems, including MAC/RRM/SON algorithms, system-level simulation, theoretical analysis, and standard compliance verification. Additionally, it requires developing control and data planes of the protocol stack for 5G/6G base stations, performing end-to-end system integration, interoperability testing, verifications, performance testing, and tuning on these base stations. The Principal Engineer will also collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineers while supporting customers for commercialization, and manage R&D project planning and development lifecycle, including R&D milestones, technical reports, and stakeholder interactions. Furthermore, the role encompasses conducting 5G/6G physical layer (PHY) algorithm design and performance simulations, developing performance standards compliance verification systems, and providing systems support for DSP and FPGA implementation. Participation in the development of high-performance wireless communications FPGA and DSP solutions for 5G/6G L1 Physical layer is also required, along with troubleshooting and setting up hardware platforms for development.
The percentages next to each skill reflect the sector’s demands in these respective skills. E.g., 30% means this skill has been listed in 30% of all the job postings in this sector.
The skills distribution tells you what specific skill sets are in demand. E.g., Skills with a distribution of “More than 50%” means that these skills are wanted in more than 50% of the job postings.
