The common responsibilities for this position include ensuring timely implementation, development, maintenance, review, and approval of ORM-related policies and procedures. Collaborating with different lines of defense to fulfill regulatory and internal ORM requirements is essential. Identifying, analyzing, and monitoring operational risk events/issues while preparing escalations for high-risk events/issues is also critical. Assisting in driving the Key Control Self-Assessment (KCSA) exercise and developing Key Risk Indicators (KRI) for the bank is required. Reviewing and proposing updates on the Risk Appetite concerning ORM and ensuring operational risks remain within the approved risk appetite through control design reviews of new products/services/procedures are key tasks. Additionally, reviewing root-cause analyses and rectification plans for material operational risk events/issues and tracking the timely implementation of these plans is important. Preparing training materials to promote an effective risk management culture in line with ORM policies and procedures, managing planning and execution of bank-wide Business Impact Analyses and Business Continuity Plans, and providing administrative support in preparing materials and presentations for various meetings are also part of the role.
