Responsibility

The common responsibilities for this position include providing first-line response service and fault attendance for various airport systems and facilities, including Baggage Handling Systems and Automated Arrival Baggage Delivery. The role involves controlling and monitoring the performance of these systems, facilitating system failure drill exercises, and assisting the line maintenance team in supervising planned maintenance works during non-office hours. Additionally, the superintendent prepares duty logs and incident reports, conducts fault investigations and analyses, and supervises preventive and corrective maintenance works. The position requires coordination and supervision of maintenance contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and minimal operational impact. The superintendent also assists in daily inspections, workmanship monitoring, testing, commissioning of works, budget control, and the review of contractor submissions. Shift duties, including overnight shifts, are also part of the responsibilities.
