Responsibility

The common responsibilities for this position include providing technical assistance in assessing licensing applications for virtual asset trading platforms and fund managers, supervising licensed entities in the virtual asset sector, evaluating key business drivers, risk profiles, and internal controls of virtual asset operators, and contributing to policy development. The role also involves supervising business conduct and operational risks of intermediaries across regulated activities in traditional asset classes, identifying market-wide and firm-specific risk issues, and formulating regulatory responses and policy initiatives. Additionally, the manager will communicate regulatory standards and policies to intermediaries and stakeholders, interact with senior management, monitor global and local policy developments, assess intermediaries' practices related to new products, gather market intelligence, and monitor financial market dynamics.
